Framework for IT SuccessSM

Framework for IT SuccessThe Framework for IT SuccessSM, commonly known as Fritz®, is Integrated Solution Management's copyrighted IT management framework -- the first IT framework that identifies, details, and integrates all of the business processes required to run IT as if it were a standalone business.

Fritz® is a comprehensive, yet simplified business model and management planning framework -- consisting of a maturity-based Performance Improvement Methodology and an IT Process Model of 27 business processes, optimized for a blend of the traditional, physical infrastructure as well as both virtualized and cloud infrastructures -- that is ideal for assisting in the planning and management of a commercial or governmental IT organization.

To ensure its practical application to all types and sizes of commercial, Federal agency, and Department of Defense clients, ISM has utilized some of the leading IT and industry best practice frameworks for validation and verification of our Framework for IT SuccessSM, including ISO 20000, ITIL® v3, COBIT®, CMMI®, FISMA, and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®). Furthermore, ISM has mapped the capabilities of most of theses industry best practice frameworks and regulatory guidelines to specific process steps within the Fritz® processes, allowing Fritz® to serve as the "common denominator" and "process collection point" to establish relationships between the disparate frameworks and process models at the strategy, planning, and operational levels.

The accompanying Framework for IT SuccessSM Capabilities Guide explains many of the uses for Fritz®, and in turn, provides answers or approaches to answers to many questions and challenges faced by the CIO and IT leadership team today. Just a few of over 30 potential uses for Fritz® identified in the Capabilities Guide, each detailed to support the objectives of the CIO and IT leadership team, include:

  • Supporting business transformation strategies
  • Designing and developing an IT governance strategy
  • Optimizing planned versus unplanned work
  • Designing and developing a management services model
  • Supporting development of the infrastructure sourcing strategy

Furthermore, Fritz® has direct applicability to half of the Top 10 Business Priorities as defined by Gartner's 2013 CIO survey:

  1. Delivering operational results
  2. Reducing enterprise costs
  3. Improving IT applications and infrastructure
  4. Improving efficiency
  5. Implementing analytics and big data

Leveraging Fritz®, we maximize the value that IT brings to the enterprise by enabling organizations to more effectively manage the business of IT.
